Don't think it's too tight; just insert it into the groove. It's very sturdy, and the color and design are neat. It saves space well, but if you want to place something heavy, it can only be done at the junction of the two parts. In the second photo, you can see how one shelf bends under the weight of the Nutella.

The durability of the plastic material is good; it can easily hold up even if you put three pairs of shoes on it, but it's just for organizing purposes without applying any force.

Really excellent
One shelf arrived slightly damaged with a melt hole in the plastic. The smallest dimension shown on the product page is the width of the shelf platform, not including the legs which stick out on the side, so they are too wide to fit in my closet cubby. Not really useful for me.

It is plastic and cheaply made, but absolutely ideal for our purposes (kids shoes). I’m very satisfied.
